What I Would Do If I Was Not To Become a Pilot...

Hey, man. I was a HUGE Metallica fan until they went all whiny. "We only sold 1,000,000 records the first week instead of 2,000,000! It's all Napsters fault!" No, your record sucked. Admit it. :)

WHAT??? Serious? WOW, yeah, I stopped following them when I heard Load. It's still alright and all, but not deserving of a following. Pretty much came to "if it's not printed within the jewel case, I don't care." Boy am I glad!

That's just sad.

Yep. That's about the time they started their whole anti-Napster crusade. Fact is, Load sucked. Re-Load wasn't much better. Anything on the black album and before is classic, though. I even liked the SECOND disc of Garage, Inc since it was all old stuff. :)

If this was all to fall apart one day, or the minute it just isn't worth it anymore, I'd probably go back to event promotion and management. Of course, that's being on the road a whole lot more then I am now so if I was trying to stay home I'd probably actually use my degree and do some business consulting again.

I think I'd become a freelance writer. I'd write on everyone of my interests, just enough to pay the bills. Then fly airplanes and hunt the rest of the time. Throw in some snowboarding too.

I've been pretty lucky to have a well-rounded life so far. Even though I certainly want to be a professional pilot, I've got alternative careers to fall back on. I'm graduating next year from a great school with a degree in International Business and German langauge. I can certainly have a good career in the business world with that combination. In addition, I work as a professional classical musician and could decide to pursue a full time career in classical music. I've even got ins with the automotive industry to pursue a career in automotive journalism and with some of the racing experience I've had I've also found opportunities to work as a test driver.

BUT, I still want to fly planes :)

I WANTED to be a rock star...that didn't happen so now it's on to pilot :)

:yeahthat:

Although, I'm still working on the rock star stuff...

I'd always wanted to take chemistry a lil' further than just a class or two... maybe a chemist.... idk, a baseball player would've been cool too :p

man, how many times i've asked myself this same question. probably go back and get my masters in architecture. another 3 1/2 years for that though, blahhhhh. could be an Urban Planner/Designer quicker but i dunno about that. actually thought about becoming a carpenter recently also. we bought a 100 year old house and after working on it a bit i've got a new respect for good old fashioned skilled labor. Start up a home restoration business or something, bring old homes back from the dead kind of things. oh, can't forget opening up a Gay bar and a sports bar.
