I think that your worry is all for not. Most of these planes will be flying in europe.
If they were to come stateside, they'd most definately be at mainline due to scope. Sounds like Bombardier is trying to compete with Embrarer's E-190/195!
Whatever you're smoking...I want some. The CEOs of republic, skyw, and mesa will be tripping over each other running to DL and UA et al to fly these things near cost in order to continue their exponential growth. Mainline management will threaten to kill the first born of each senior mainline guy. Mainline guys will give a little more on scope, and then regional guys will be flying these things at 50 seat +1.4% rates or less in the hopes of a three month upgrade.
I flew with this CA a while back who kept saying "your history shows your future." I'm still not sure exactly how true that is, the way things change so fast in this industry, but sometimes the more things change the more they stay the same.
