I just starting class today at Comair and figured I would kinda write a day to day diary. Hopefully this will help other people out, or at least give some insight into 121 training.
Got into Cincinnati last night. Met up with 2 other guys who are in my training class. We went out and got some food and watched the superbowl. After that we talked about our expierences in aviation and had basically a get to know each other conversation. Then we went back to the hotel and got a good nights rest. Comair is actually putting us up in a very nice hotel. Most of us are staying at the Holiday Inn and a few others at the Radisson.
Day 1
Woke up at 6:45 to catch a 7:45 shuttle to the General Offices. The class on the first day did not start till 8:30. At 8:30 sharp we were met by one of our instructors and led into a conference room with about 50 other people. They gave us some water and coffee and we sat down for a long day. This was just the general company improcessing. We started off with some paperwork, then listened to some speakers followed by more paperwork. Next thing was lunch. Comair provided us with lunch today which was pretty good. Then after lunch more paperwork and more briefers. Then pictures for Crew badges and airport badges. We finally got wraped up around 5:30. Went back to the hotel and the pilots at the Holiday Inn went to Applebees for dinner. Very good day and looks like we have a pretty good class. We all come from a pretty good variety of flying backgrounds which helps make it fun. Tommorow we start at 8:00. So I am not sure what we have in store for us. But we are excited to be here.
