LOL . . . if 31 is old, I need to start shopping for caskets!
What are your times? Any interest in being based in SLC?
BIL is all turbine. This may sound really out there, but if you can I'd put in for BIL. It's really not that bad, plus I've heard you can get into the BE99's in like three months or less there because that's basically all they have and nobody wants to live there because it's not a huge city. Plus, cost of living is a lot less, and it's a large enough metro area that you can get just about anything you want. It's really not that bad.
BULL!! Tell that to the 9 or 10 pilots that were hired into the 99 in SLC just in the past year(me included). Sometimes I really don't know what goes on in BUR. Really. And you've got a lot more time than I did when I was hired.1800TT, 750 Multi, 680 Multi turbine PIC
I was told they dont hire straight into the turbines
Not sure how it all works.......
Good call, the majors are looking for quality SIC regional jet time these days! That's thinking ahead for ya!
Hehehehe . . . how is it going to be any better at a regional?
You can't count on anything here, ever.
6 month turbine upgrade at AMF, say 6-12 months after that and you're in the Metro making $40,00-$50,000 a year.
Down side is you will never get laid while doing it.
Lloyd, even at PCL, it was a bit better. They put us in a hotel, gave us per diem, gave us charts and the uniform is payroll deducted over several months. Heck, the second uniform payment of the month, you MAKE $5 since they give us $20 a month uniform allowance. Once you get your base, the company pays for the hotel until your "moving days." Even after that, you could live with mom and dad and commute to a $150/mo crash pad. Still comes out cheap than living in OAK to me. Besides, I thought once you were at a freight carrier, you were in the dough?![]()
As far as the porn goes....people would probably pay for me to keep my clothes on....;]
Not if you're the guy in the pic! Hot-CHA!! Other than that, I can't offer anything helpful. Good luck and congrats on the job.
Awww, thanks ;]
