Take my advice- stay in Ohio build your time and look for a reliable Regional carrier.
Hehehehe . . . how is it going to be any better at a regional?

6 month turbine upgrade at AMF, say 6-12 months after that and you're in the Metro making $40,00-$50,000 a year.
Word, I enjoy being in my own bed every night and I like the fact that my first jet is more likely to be a Southwest 737 than an RJ.
And my company hasn't furloughed in 35 years and the paychecks keep coming, so I'm happy.

Lloyd,
i remember you saying that you lived in the Bayarea a while back. Do you think you can make a living on Amflt income in the Bay? He is travelling thousands of miles to come out here and work for an "ok" cargo company.
Personally, the Regional life will be better than than Amflt. Unless you have good contacts here where you can stay until you stablize- i tell you it will be really tough.
I was born and raised in The City & County of San Francisco. I lived there until I was 18 years old. My father made less than a first-year AMF guy makes, and raised 4 kids.
