I am just wondering how the heck can a 21 year old have ATPw/BS or BA & 1200TT.
I always thought doing it all together is nearly impossible.

Doug could walk in Joe Dirt's resume and get him hired.
Join the navy..... I don't think so
Livin' on a boat..... I don't think so
Hot bunkin... yeahhhidon't think so
Doin night traps... f888 that, I don't think so......."
They rock.
Doubtful. Just because a DL pilot walks someone resume in no matter if they have 1000 hrs. or 5000 hrs. it isn't a guarantee they will either get an interview. And if granted an interview get hired.
mmmmmm yes...your probably correct! :nana2:Ummm...."hammer" maybe?

More especially if their preference is military fighter jocks. Now when I say doubtful I don't mean impossible.
8 out of 8 resumes I've walked in during the last hiring cycle got an interview and were hired.
Don't jinx my track record, bro!
I think my phone's on vibrate, lemme go check. Gotta do that else I get the 0300 text message from some freight guy asking 'what's up yo?"![]()

I just thought big D preferred more military guys vs. peeps who went the civilian route.
they are just mins. What do you think the average amount of flight time is? probably a lot higher then that.
Also, those guys without a 4yr....well damn that sucks.
Actually , during the last hiring cycle, being "walked in" was the ONLY way to get an interview. That was the last discriminaor that pulled your application from the "Big" stack and place you in the "Short" stack. Obviously, once you get the interview, it's yours to make or break. During my Delta interview process, they hired 3 out of 5 guys that day. Getting the interview is the hard part. It's totally unlike the hiring practices at regionals where they interview practically anybody who meets the mins, but only hire a fraction.
My class in 2000 had 5 pure military guys, 9 military guys with significant civilian 121/135 experience after military, and 7 pure civilian guys. Again, they want the guys who are well thought of enough to get a internal recommendation, and who the interview team thinks a) would be a good Captain some day, and b) they would like to spend a 4 day cooped up with.
Networking works if you want to get hired. Arguing on internet boards works if you are just playing around.
