I have a walk-around to do tommorow at 6am :( Thank God for Herman Nelsons!!
I didn't know other people used Herman Nelson's besides the Army... pretty cool.

Should have called me earlier. I just put laundry in. Chef Jimmy's in A concourse has the best airport food and prices you'll find anywhere, and they treat us really well.

I called home early this morning and it seems school was cancelled. A dang snow day and I'm going to miss it! I would say it's nice being in the warm weather instead, but it's frackin' cold here too. It was 30 degrees and quite windy last night. Somewhat funny to see the weather warnings for "cold temperatures" here in HOU. I guess MDW and ORD had 5.5 hour delays this morning. Ouch.

I'm going to just try and get through my checkride tonight and OE, then I'll let you know what the next step might be. :D

SouthernJets cancelled basicly all ORD ops today. So far the arrivals for the entire day fits onto one page over at flightaware. Normally its like more than a page per hour.

BTW, good luck on the checkride tonight.

Heh. I remember when I was working on the ramp at XJT and had to call dispatch to find out what was going on with flights after an ice/snow storm went through MEM. The dude was kinda frazzled and kept going on and on about how it was SNOWING in IAH. :)

I remember that day. There were some pilots posting pictures of the snow falling in their neighborhoods on the internet. "Look at the snow!" I had to laugh. It wasn't even accumulating!

Thats when you come back with a picture of you shoveling out your front door to snowshoe to the local ski mountain to hit 4 feet of fresh powder.

Eh, Kristie. You do know CAL has international flights, too. Right? :)

Kristie, don't forget UAL (I airline you said you like to fly and will again!). International on them is still fairly good up front, and they use 747's too. DAL doen't believe in 2 story aircraft.

This storm came through the west coast first right after Thanksgiving. I'm amazed at how much more powerful it became as it moved on eastward; but we did hit record lows in the San Joaquin valley. I actually had to deice the past couple of days.
