Just for those who aren't keeping in track with the Network JC forum...

We are holding Mock interviews and Sim Lessons/Checkrides for those being interviewed as part of the NetworkJC "fun" things to do/learn.

We have 2 or 3 people willing to help with the mock interviews/sim checkrides and you can interview if you have a PPL and above. The interview will definately be beneficial for those who have not performed an oral interview before an individual or a committee. It would be great practice for anyone planning to interview for an FBO job or even airline/freight position in the future (whether near or far).

It is recommended to dress to impress (as if you were really going in for an interview) and to send your resume to Complexhiaviator (Tracy) via email (PM him for his email addy) so he can give you resume pointers before conducting the oral portion of the interview.

The sim checkrides will be flying in the left seat with a First Officer as your "instructor" per se who will be assisting and helping you perfect your skills while your in control (no matter if you've even flown a major jet before or not).

Honestly, it's great experience and there isn't one person on this board that can't use the practice (including those in the regionals who wish to move up to the majors some day).

There is a poll in the networkjc forum that IS the signup sheet. If you want to get some practice, please sign up so we know how to schedule everyone for both the interview and sim...

you must be signed up by Oct 20th to be included in either or both the mock interview and sim lesson.

Sim rides are available for those not interviewing as well, but at a different time so that the mock interviews are held at condusive times to sim lessons.

All mock interviews and sim lessons/rides will be held on Friday Oct 27th (during the day)

I have been told (by Mpenguin1) that the sim is the same 737-200 we used last year.

Also, Krisie, its Complexhiav8r (I dont spell out aviator, I use a number)
AIM is Complexhiav8r (if you IM me say you are from JC)
Email is Complexhiav8r@earthlink.net Subject Text as NJC Mock Interviews

Anyone seeing a pattern to my online existance???:sarcasm:

oops.. sorry man! doing too many things at once over here! :insane:

I haven't been flying much since Oshkosh...so if I fail miserably can we throw the video tape into the fire as I go downtown to change my legal name?

Hmm... both my interview sim rides were from the right seat. Actually, they gave us a choice on one and seeing as the 1 hour I had in a CRJ FTD was from that said I went with it. I dunno about flying a sim from the left seat... there is that scary looking tiller thing over there.

Haven't you ever sailed?? :sarcasm:

Yes. I actually owned a sunfish for a long time. Different sort of tiller though. It actually goes in the direction you point it:)

well, it looks like we have plenty of people to help the interviewee's on their way to a successful mock type interview..

however, we need more people that are willing to DO the mock interviews as only 3 are scheduled right now.

Anyone else want to participate?? it would be awesome if we can get this off successfully cuz then we can offer the same thing (hopefully) next year!!

Heh, the sim interview at PCL was in a Frasca, so there was only ONE choice of where to sit. :) All the rest of my sim experience was in the right seat.

They didnt have you in an RJ sim? Is that common? For some reason I just thought the sim ride would be in equipment you would be training in.

Mostly they will stick you in what ever sim they aren't using. This tends to be an aircraft they aren't flying activly anymore. My interview ended up using a CRJ sim because it was available but the plane was for the 737-200 sim (airways hasn't flown them for a long time).
