Dear Doug,

Nope, it's not current because I was lazy and only my mom, brothers and sisters call me Douglas. Or Kristie is she's "concerned" with something.

No to Douglas (from me) sounds like something a parent would say to their child when their in trouble.
 
I'm usually called "Doug" or "Hey, aren't you that guy from that website?"
 
btw the 'bling' in that avatar is killin' me!

Either that, or it reminds me of my own mouth when I was 14............... I had enough metal on my teeth to build a 57 Chevy!

i think it's a cheesehead thing. Kristie wore headgear when she was a kid!

Oh I had a headgear, bands, braces, the whole nine yards. I wore a retainer til I was 19, and to this day still have the metal band across the back of my lower teeth that they put in when I was 15. I have now had that piece of metal in my mouth for a longer duration of time (16 years) than I was years old when it was put in (15)! Yikes!

I know, I was a nerd, through and through. At least I have a good excuse for the braces though. I had reconstructive surgery in my mouth at age 5, and that kind of upset how my teeth came in. So they were all askew and crooked because of the surgery. Almost all of my baby teeth had to be removed surgically by the dentist, I only remember losing 2 the normal way. The rest were removed while I sat in a dentist's chair being told to sit still. My wisdom teeth were sideways, and had to be dug out before they even had the chance to try to come in.

The good news is though I now have a perfect smile, the ability to withstand tremendous amounts of pain to my mouth, and a total and complete fear of dentists.
