CFI Initial Practical

Yeah Im waiting for the inspector to get here right now ... Then I am teaching him a flight manuever lesson, and then we are going flying. I guess everyone was right when they said this was the worst of all checkrides..... No disapproval notice yet.... so hopefully this all works out... the first time

Dude...2 day oral...wow, that'll pump your balls up. Keep up the good work!
 
The oral is the toughest part. If you're almost done with that you may get through. Good Luck!
 
Well day 3 is over! Got through the oral, got through the manuvers in the fixed gear, went to do the takeoff and landings in the mooney and it had a sputter at about 1500rpm on our runup. So.... now I have to get that fixed and then do 2 takeoff/landings and Im all set. He said as far as he is concerned, I have passed the test, I just need to do two take off/landings with him in the mooney and we will fill out the paperwork. Now I am waiting on the mooney to get fixed. So I havent passed yet, but its looking very good as long as I dont majorly screw something up in 2 landings in the complex. :nana2: I am very happy to have this all behind me.... but it was definitely a tough checkride and a learning experience.
 
Well, I would give say a certain word that begins with c, but I don't want to jinx you yet. I suppose a lot could go wrong in two trips around the pattern. I'll keep an eye out for your announcement!

Not to hijack, but nice photos of KCGX.
 
Does anyone have any info on the DuPage FSDO? In terms of taking your CFI Practical there? Any inspectors better than others? or one's that are nicknamed "the terminator"?
