Layover food

Kabob Palace in crystal city(?) right outside DCA if you ever get over there. open 24hr and there’s a 7-11 next door for tall boys
I avoid DCA like the plague. The airport sucks and I don’t have any desire to see the propaganda banners everywhere.

Our IAD layover had a great chicken and gyro place that you have to go a quarter mile up the road or play frogger across four lanes to get to, but it’s delicious. I’m also usually the only white guy in there.

But IAD was one of the destinations we gave up to you guys out of SFO

PIREP for frequent LAS flyers. What used to be the $6.99 steak and eggs special at Ellis Island (which then became $9.99, and $12.99) is now $14.99. It's still delicious and considering the price of everything else, still feels like a good deal.

Yeah Ellis Islands $15 Prime Rib isn’t $15 anymore. It went up to $20 then $25 now it’s $35.

On layover days in Tokyo I decided to try out a kaiseki dinner at a ryokan onsen. It’s an 8-course dinner that was served over 2 hours.

I can’t begin to understand what I was eating but I’m still here and I haven’t keeled over dead yet.

It was take your wife to work month. Various food around France and Portugal. Lots of good food but the best were the steaks we made and the sushi the FA procured.
