Mr. President, tear down that wall!

Damn. April 2015 holding NYC330 left seat on the mock award. Crazy times.
What has made this specific category at DL go so junior?

Where I’m at the costal bases do go junior for both CA/FO, but thats on the NB. The most junior wide body CA spots here go to folks with close to 25 years.

Trip credit. Everyone wanted a BOS widebody base but realized a three day trip pays about what a domestic does.

I trained BOS 330 to 350 pilots, with regularity, a few months in a row.

The more pilots junior to me I see getting SEA330B the more and more tempted I am to pull the trigger. There's just that pesky thing about fitting into the bunk...

That was like...obvious, right? There's no credit in Europe from the east coast. The trip length averages out the longer legs. The only reason you do this flying is because you enjoy doing it.

Min Day, even averaged, is a magical thing when your segments are short.

Over here, we can do two 3 day Japan trips for 32 hours of credit, or we can do three 2 day west coast trips for 35 hours of credit, and never have to try to understand what Tokyo Control is saying.

The senior end of things can do two long haul 3 days and get 44 hours of credit in that same block, but those are the special people.

What's your min day?

5. Going to Alaska's 5:15 probably.

We don't have a carve out though, so 0001 is another day.
We were 22 minutes from getting an extra day the other night thanks to secretary road rules politically motivated stick it to SFO very necessary safety related changes to SFO arrival procedures.

So how many flights that are scheduled to arrive at 2350 end up landing at 0001? :)

With our network we really don't have that many trips that end after 10pm. Hence why the Company never fought us on that during negotiations. Our new overlords have tons and tons of trips that end after midnight, so they have a 0200 carve out in their language. I'd guess a for whatever reason, inbound taxi times average a whole lot longer between 0145 and 0200.
