Layover food

Tortilla Madre in Miami. Really good but laughably expensive for tacos, but I figure that’s par for the course for Miami.

Foraging for breakfast in Shinjuku…. Sarabeth’s in the Shinjuku Station labyrinth
Nothing special and pretty ordinary but it’s hard to find a place that’s open for breakfast

Am I the only one that doesn't really GAF about in and out? I walked straight past one for the chik fil a next door on a short layover where I didn't have the energy to find a real place to eat, recently. Their fries are terrible, and the burgers are meh. Not waiting for 20 mins in line for that.

The only thing it has going for it is the price of the burger. But like you said, it's not worth waiting for.

Having grown up in California with a large part of that being in So Cal, you are close to the mark. I do enjoy the burgers, but the fries are terrible indeed. I've even tried the double-fried fries...no good. And, like you, I don't wait in line for very long for any food, regardless of the place (unless they have a bar). I've lived in a few places around the country, spending the last 11 years just north of Houston. When we first moved here, everyone was saying "Whataburger, Whataburger, Whataburger". Much like In-and-Out, I don't get the Whataburger love. Maybe it's the mustard and not ketchup, or maybe because it's Texas, but I don't know, just average for me.

Since we're in this particular forum, I do have a question for you all...How do you eat all this great food that I've been admiring and drooling over and still maintain your Class 1? My lipid panel is always a bit "out of range" so I'm jealous of all the great photos that make up this forum.
