Dan Gryder is a POS again

Inverted

mmmmmm wine
Remember that Electra crash where those idiots forgot to lock the tailwheel? Well, now he's pretending he was a passenger, and he is suing. "Retired" airline pilot is such a festive way of saying forced to resign because you were drunk driving your DC3 and tried to run over cops...

The court record shows a dismissal filed by Gryder’s attorneys on May 18. But based on something else in the record (a Motion to Change Venue for those who know), I suspect it might be to change the location of the court.

I seriously don't understand how anyone still gives him the time of day. He spoke at SnF...

Way too many young pilots put "Airline Pilot" on way too high of a pedestal. Anybody with enough ego and vanity to climb up on that pedestal can attract quite a following.

BTW Dan's "shove the nose down" stall recovery technique is a good way to kill yourself.

Also, I'm pretty sure Steve has seen through Dan's BS since that video.

A pilot who is one of those influencer types. Cringe.

Middle aged non-pilots drool and act like she split the atom when he copied a clearance… even though 90% of the time we get them via CPDLC.

Was it at least a full route until you leave Mexican airspace with a sometimes confusing order with the runway coming before the route but the SID last and no time on the expect altitude like you get leaving Cancun or Puerta Vallarta? Hell, I've done to the LAX to PVR route so often lately I can tell you when the controllers will give you direct to the same usual fixes, the non-published crossing restrictions, and when the plane will dump you into CWS P if you LNAV/VNAV the RNP 22 approach and why I will cry when they take away IAN from me. The gate agents are starting to recognize me there, hell, so are some of the passengers!

Bless her heart… I’ll never understand the folks that act like we’re sending a rocket to the moon. We’re just going to Omaha, it ain’t that sexy and don’t need to an audience. Just go have fun and don’t damage the company’s s***.

Seriously!

I had mostly gotten over not getting hired at Delta in 2008...until I realized people like her were able to get hired at some point in time.
This is probably the only time this statement will ever be appropriate; “it was a different time”.

What’s that fix they always add to your flight plan right at the border? ALMUN? Right before SONKY (sp?)?

And don’t forget your buen dia’s

ASUTA, then once we get on with LA center it's direct somewhere down the line on the OLAA2 with at least a half dozen different "descend via except..." altitudes.

I've developed this weird reaction when someone speaks Mexican to me I reply in French. My brain might be a little fried from spending too much time out in the desert sun...

This drives me marginally insane - Kingston does the same thing with clearances out of the usual order, and their radios aren't great to start with.
