Sorry everyone. This sucks. I remember flying into Midway the day ATA shut down and talking to a crew trying to get home as I was collecting my stuff before going to work at Mesa.

Sad day indeed.
I left back in February for AA, 6 weeks shy of 9 years as one of āNedās Kidsā. Spirit was a fantastic place to work. I always said it was the best kept secret in Aviation. The work rules were spectacular and offered QOL that is unmatched at most other airlines especially on the junior end of the spectrum.
Unfortunately Spirit didnāt make it. Those almost 9 years were the best of my professional life. Thank you to Spirit for giving me the opportunity to break into the 121 world back in 2017. I wouldnāt be where I am today without that opportunity.
I hope all of Spirits crew members can land on their feet as quickly as possible. If there is any way I can help please reach out.

I remember I floated the ā¢ out of my landing in MSY, then you dragged me out on an old wooden coaster and I almost broke my back. Still see a chiropractor to this day. I blame the coaster, not my garbage landing.

In the days of regulation, airlines had to demonstrate that a route was profitable and sustainable at a certain rate.
Heck, I just paid $150 for a temendous bus ride from Nashville to Memphis.

Itās cheaper or equal to fly from JFK to FLL than take an uber from JFK to Manhattan. (Or Jersey)
Itās about 1/2 the price to fly from JFK to FLL to take the Brightline from FLL to MCO.
6 people at Olive Garden - itās a special night- 3 are asking the other 3 to go āsteadyā - is more expensive than a single ticket from JFK to FLL.

heyā¦ Even though they didn't want me, I have tons of respect for wn. They're overall a good bunch, and most of the crap they get is shade thrown from people who have no business doing so.
I feel lucky that I got a chance to interview there twice.
