Taking Valacyclovir (valtrex) automatic deferral?

Went to the VA because I felt sick and thought I had strep throat, doctor gave me Valacyclovir (valtrex) for some white spots on the top of the inside of my mouth making it painful to swallow. I googled how to report this on my next first class medical and google AI says my AME MUST defer my medical because this Medicine is only approved on a case by case basis? Is this true?!? Please help!
