Oh United

I’ve had a UAL theoretically on the EWR4 departing off 4 make an immediate left turn and go UNDERNEATH a TEB ILS 6 arrival at 2000 (thank god he was going to be high at DANDY lol). Dudes voice never changed, I’m not sure he even realized what had just happened

Finally a TEB approach the was screwed up but it was actually a good thing.

It has been exactly 2 days since someone completely ‘mid’ questioned my qualifications and said raising the age limit is going to magically solve the issue which we haven’t even determined if the recent accidents are even related.

The bad news is that the minimums are higher today than they were 15 years ago, but no one wants to talk about that.

Please, great sage of aviation, share with us your wisdom:

I’m all about second chances.

But going on Tucker Carlson and blasting minority pilots as being unsafe when you’ve got a DWI on your record is…maybe not the best idea.

Sounds like they had 28L/R loaded in the box and took the left turn of 284 deg initially.

I’d be wary of any SID that showed a left hand turn when departing 01R and simul departures are in progress for 01R/01L.

My SFO knowledge is extremely limited, only been in and out of NGZ in that area, but launches off 1L/R at SFO generally never make a westerly turn? Especially 1R turning to cross 1L?

Is SFO a special qual airport? The ATC written statement states that when the Capt later called the ATC facility via landiline, that it was the FO as PF and FO first time departing from SFO.

Typically they send southbound departures off 1L in which case you make a big 180°ish left turn. 1R departures indeed always go right at least initially (a slight jog maybe 10-20°) Technically you could get the SSTIK SID (big left turn) off 1R but for traffic reasons that’s never the way they run it.

SFO is a special airport for us in that FOs need 100 hours in type to takeoff/land there. No idea about other companies. I actually really like operating here although I acknowledge that the intersecting runway ops and the way they run the traffic with them are a huge liability.

TRUKNs off the right, SSTIKs off the left, with right and left initial turns, respectively. The NIITE only happens, um, at night.

Are, um, are Bay Tour departures still a thing up there?

Oh that was a treat.

I’d love to see her in an elevator, hit the “EMERGENCY STOP” button and have a nice conversation about irony and serving the role as “pick-me” to a bunch of cultists.

She’s white and female. Does she realize she is in the same minority boat? Just look at the hatred, misogyny towards the FOs of the Blackhawk and the Emdeavor accidents. Both white female FOs and man did people take them to the cleaners on the internet.

I wonder if she realizes that if she ever bends a plane, that same crowd ain’t gonna give her a free pass because she voted Trump and is MAGA.

Ill bring you some clarity.

1. White women are among the biggest benefactors of EOE and DEI, just like the lady in question.
2. Which people “(took) them to the cleaners on the internet”?
(Hint, the ones that lost some power, authority and the thin candy shell of assumed supremacy)
3. Definition of ”Pick-Me”
4. Always pay close attention to why someone is seeking validation and from whom.

Unfortunately we have a group of women at United that are doing their very best to set women aviators back. They need to retire already so that the real women aviators can step up and lead in the profession while they sit back, pick up DWI’s, and storm the capital in retirement.

United and Skywest took off on parallel runways at SFO. United veered into Skywest's path. Skywest turned to miss United. They came within 300 feet of colliding.

Why aren't parallel takeoffs on parallel runways in close proximity staggered to avoid such a potential conflict? The pilot on the YouTube video believes the pilots were briefed for a different runway and were then assigned to a different runway, and were flying the departure for the original runway.
