Just operated TAM-IAH this morning with 1/3 load of pax on a -700. Ref at flaps 30 was 116, decided to do flaps 40 forRiding jump on the -700 freighter is fun “oh this is what ref speeds are supposed to be”

admittedly that was harder than I thought it was based on initial video. Going to idle at 150 feet will certainly cause bad things to happen. Does endeavor have CRJ2 still ? Would this be more of a CRJ2 style ? Wondering if they had more time in that type or something. Either way, sink rate should’ve gotten their attention.

I dunno, I'm of a "judge not less thee be judged" mindset (from zero) on this one, at least as far as the C/A goes. The more I see of guys on OE (who have gotten to The Show, insofar as Dog Doo Relocation can be The Show), the more I wonder wtf possesses guys to do OE. It ain't the override, at least not here. 1100 fpm is nothing, just barely above a normal rate of descent for us.......I dont know the exact rate of descent at touchdown, but it was at least 1500 fpm, probably closer to 2000. Jet was fine BTW![]()
It’s been a while but CRJ was idle at 50’, idle at 150’ wouldn’t go well.
