At BlueJuice Factory it was something similar and I remember when I got hired in 2011 that it was a pay raise for me coming from Comair. I think I made $39/hr(6 year pay) when I left.2012, 2013, 2014

Top of Capt scale for USAirways was $125 and top of FO scale was $85 10 years ago.
That’s impressive. I got paid more than that as a Jetstream FO at Chautauqua in 1996. ($13,000).I see your crappy pay and raise you my first year (8 months) at ExpressJet in 2011.

They had furloughed in 2008 and only had just started hiring in early 2011. They also voted in a concessionary contract. That’s impressive. I got paid more than that as a Jetstream FO at Chautauqua in 1996. ($13,000).
Had to hand fly 6-10 legs a day to get it though.

Yeah that’s a completely different scenario than the OP’s.I don’t have the same time at my legacy (3.5 months), but I have a Jan 16th class date at Delta and I have zero doubts about the decision. Delta was always my priority but Family time is also everything to me, and I’ll get more of that living in base.
I live 45 mins from the ATL airport, a base that I think I can safely say will always be there.

A short 12 years later I make that amount in 11 days. I feel incredibly lucky.
At least they fed you!$753.60 a month when I first joined the Army.
Hm. Endeavor is $100.$93 per hour for Envoy new hires. We’ve come a long way and AA/Envoy teed everything up with this industry leading pay reflective of the quality of our pilots.
At least they fed you!
Are you me? I was living in Chicago when I got hired at SJI. Very similar situation, no kids planned and loved living in the city. My wife’s fam lives in the NW burbs. About 6 months in we went to NYC to visit some friends and impulsively signed a lease. Been here ever since and love it. Housing is more expensive that Chicago for sure but on a legacy paycheck, especially if you upgrade, you can really enjoy this place.Yep thats the tough part for me, the amount of movement I've had is huge. Add to that I'd be at the bottom of a similar amount at another airline if I left.
No offense taken, mostly personal preference, but also family nearby. I live in the city and my wife and I both love it, no plans to have kids or move to the burbs. We've taken a serious look at moving to different bases, and just couldn't get excited about any of them, its either not big enough of a city for us, or its way more expensive, SEA is probably the only one we'd consider.
Still waiting on a campfire invite from @Dacuj![]()
