UAL pilot gets revenge on the employee lot gate in Denver.

Exactly. He obviously has no idea.
Like who is the “we” that’s “catering to the way a person feels about themself regardless of reality?”
Can't tell if you're being obtuse or naïve. #side-eye
We (society) are being told, by the virtue signaling best of us, that the way a person "feels" is the way it is. Irrespective if it is actually true or not. And if you do not conform, you are to be cancelled, mocked, shamed, and in some severe cases unemployed.
Not my fault if I’m voted Certified Rotten ;)
You're crazy man. I like you, but you're crazy.
We've all been where that Captain has been. He's likely tired and frustrated. The difference is that we acted as an adult in that situation instead of having a temper tantrum. I sympathize with his frustration, but not necessarily condone his action. I feel the same way when I see rioters bust things up and set police cars on fire.

We are the people who set those taxes. The "boogie man" "'North of Richmond" is us. We are them. They didn't magically appear out of thin air.
I didn't say I condoned his actions, I said I get it.

And no, we aren't the people that set those taxes. Name ONE politician that has ever held to any campaign promise in the history of US politics when it comes to fiscally conservative values. Not to mention a whole bunch of them in there I never would have voted for anyway. The stereotype of a lying politician is there for a reason. You know what the really funny thing is, I 100% believe we are overtaxed as a population. And yet our government is currently....$32,713,645,000,000 in the hole. Deficit spending is $1,700,000,000,000. How anyone thinks we can tax our way out of this is beyond my comprehension. We, as a country are •ed. 247 years. It's been a good run folks but it is coming to an end. There isn't a government program out there that is willing to fold or accept budget cutbacks of any significant amount. You can't tax enough to balance the budget. We can't continue to operate like this, so we just sprint to the finish line. So, the way I see it, taxes aren't the answer so stop increasing mine, because I'm sick and tired of what I see at the end of the year in that YTD tax block. Keep on singing Christopher, you sing for a lot of us.

I think you’re projecting.

You *feel* this is the way things are so that’s how things must be, regardless of if this is true or not.

Case in point—you felt like you were being bumped up to a higher tax bracket a few months ago because your company withheld at a higher rate after a busy month…when in reality, you’re going to see that back in April.

Pulp Fiction and Inglorious Bastards are 2 must see films.

*spoiler alert*
From Dusk till Dawn was ok for a vampire movie.

I’ve seen most of his pre-2000 or so movies. I get that he’s really talented, but I’m just not into watching his interpretation of genres using violence and profanity as a crutch.

You do know that the current tax plan is Trump's right? Biden's tax plan didn't make it through the House. So we had an opportunity to lower taxes for the guy in the song under Biden's plan, but the people who is promoting his song as their new rally cry voted against it.

There were people during COVID who literally died to “own the libs” despite treatment being available.
My friend is a big pro-Trump, anti-vac, anti-Biden person on Facebook. His wife came down with Covid and spent over 60 days on a vent before passing leaving two kids behind.

He blames her death on Biden; "He had the drugs to prevent her death but didn't allow it's use."

Despite the wayward Captain possibly ending his aviation career, you have to admire his form and delivery. I mean, he is fit, and swings a mean axe, switching sides with every stroke, seemingly hitting his mark with great consistency.

I wonder how different it might have been had he realized that most of those arms contain a clutch and can simply be lifted out of the way by hand?

Because there is nothing private on any social media platform. Period. I have seen this happen on our internal union forum, as well. It’s suppose to be private and for union members only, but it only takes one sour grape and that post makes it back to the ACP office.

Just don’t post anything on social media. I don’t understand why this is so hard for some folks.

Unless you choose to write with the left-leaning socially acceptable opinions, then you’re hailed as a hero, an ally.

I tell you what. How about cut welfare in just his town? No welfare and no taxes in his just his town. No tax revenue given to infrastructure, to pay the local police and fireman, no taxes to pay the teachers, no taxes for pell grants for prospective students...let's see how far his town goes.
Do you want to be "occupied" by forces from the "North?" Because not executing the Laws of the United States is how you get "occupied" by the forces of the "North."

It’s “marginal” application so the “OMG I got a pay cut because of my tax bracket” people need to calm down and do some math. :)

Apropos to nothing, and serioulsy, just curious… you joined the site in 2008 and just made your first posts today? Where have you been this whole time? 😜

Are you the real Capt. Paul Bunyan?

Interest free loans to the government so that we can maintain 2 Gulfstreams for the Egyptian Airforce still gives me reasons to lament.

Trump was the worst. In a lot of ways. But there was no doubt he wasn't a fiscal conservative. His plan sucks. What's your point again?

Again, I think you are missing the point that a lot of people feel they are not being represented by their representatives. Whether they voted for them or not. Hence the song.

Well that's why we're in a democracy. Vote them out and vote in the people you want representing you. The Dems have several representatives to take care of on the the state and federal level. They've had several representatives straight up defect to the Republican party and now will have to take care of them during the next election cycle.

Here's the point. The GOP has zero platform to run on other than being anti-democratic party. They have no fixes to the problems that this man sings about. Biden proposed a tax plan to ease this man's burden, but the GOP voted against it. Nothing will change this man's (or people like him) mind though. He (they) will continue to vote for the same GOP who votes against their interest and will blame others for their lack of....
