NOT saying it was him. High school graduate in 2015 to Delta 757/767 Captain in 2023? No more than about 12 months at any airline, 4 airlines from 2020-2022 before Delta? TSA closing in March 2020 is understandable. The rest, a bit odd that someone would do 3 airlines in 8-11 months each?


Is this the barrel Delta is now scraping to fill their seats? Yikes. Just my worthless opinion, but that’s just too young and too inexperienced to be commanding a 767 into Europe.

One can find plenty of hail in the US if they go looking…

This would be about using the radar *effectively.*


11 yrs as FO, and only about 5.5 yrs as CA but I can tell you I’ve seen in both seats, guys who were clueless about the radar usage in terms of effectively figuring out what you’re looking at.

Delta hire 2022, 767 CA today.


25 turning 26. Sorry, but that’s a joke of a resume. I’d question why anyone would make that many jumps in that quick succession.

It wasn’t. More than once online (and take that for it’s worth), I’ve read that of the pilots, 2 were hired recently as in 2022 and one was the CA.


Don’t know. And this isn’t even a Delta attack now, I’ve pointed out green on green for the 777 United at OGG (and got chewed out on JC), and the green AA 777 incursion at JFK.


I don’t think it’s wrong to point out that green on green and low time CAs are leading to incidents/near accidents. No particular airline, it runs through the whole gamut.

Answer: the drawbacks of barfing your entire life online.
That person, I flew with at QX and didn't have any "spidey senses" tingling. I personally thought that them upgrading after less than a year DL was not the best idea in the world.

I could have easily held 7ER in NYC inside of a year, but I'm also old enough to know my own limitations. Could I do, sure...but having not flown in that part of the world, and not having what I feel is enough experience in the southern jets world...I felt like I needed more exposure to the ins/outs of the operation.

What's there to question? Those are all logical career moves to make if you have the opportunity.

No they aren’t. Newhire training is a solid 3 months. So when you leave at 8-11 months, that’s barely any flying. Based on those moves alone, that total Jet time has to be low.
