I’m happy with this. I predict it passing by 70% then never flying with anyone that voted yes.
Just time to wait for the final language. Devil's in the details sometimes.Looks like a damned fine agreement. Congrats, guys!
No concessions, no give on payback days or unstacking. 31% over 4 years, good work rule improvement, decent pay raise and retro payment. Not sure why people are mad here …
My guess based on past practice... 1.) social media will explode with a No vote campaign. 2.) Agreement passes at 73-82% 3.) 2 months later, not one yes voter will admit to it on the line.![]()
For those of you who are a strong NO already, or friends with those who are, what would you need to be a yes?
That and the AS contract lacking critical things like scope. The gamble was who would come out better if the economy tanked in the mean time or if the reason that Delta management finally decided to bring the wheelbarrow to a negotiating session didn't materialize for another year. Same decisions we always have to make.
I don’t understand the Delta contract but as it was recently explained to me: they get jacked around a lot because of reassignments.
They were shooting for what United has 225% of the original trip plus 5 hours or days off restored.
Apparently they just got 5 hours. Which is I think what we got at AS.
It’s not a bad goal, but obviously not realistic. And trust me I realize how out of touch many pilots are.I’m an airline pilot. I want to be paid 500k+ and sit home as long as possible.
-pilot logic
The problem is that each contract is different. United has better reassignment language than Delta (it's not a straight 225% though), but they have FSB. We have WAY better reassignment language than United, but our payrates are lower. American has way worse reassignment language than Delta but has some better things elsewhere. CBAs are dynamic.
Don’t they assign their LCR short call a lot though?18 hour callout from LCR sounds delightful.
This is the price of good reserve rules. All long call, limited short call, and no airport standby.I don’t understand the Delta contract but as it was recently explained to me: they get jacked around a lot because of reassignments.

Short call can only be assigned 6-7 times a month depending on average line values for the month. The best way to avoid it is by picking up flying on your reserve days.Don’t they assign their LCR short call a lot though?

Yep. Typical month for me is 2-3, rarely see many more in my category assigned. 18 hour LC is mo' better for sure. 12 hours can be tight at certain times of day for a lot of commuters, this would make it much more palatable.Short call can only be assigned 6-7 times a month depending on average line values for the month. There are a certain segment of guys who are always going to vote no, because ”there was something left on the table.”For those of you who are a strong NO already, or friends with those who are, what would you need to be a yes?
