My original instructor said to steer clear of them due to how they treat their employees. They invited me for an interview as a dispatcher though so I wanted to see if anyone has experience with them.
Lots of hats and I imagine the pay and benefits aren’t the same as 121. Good to know.Yazz to what he said above.... Lots of hats means u will have massive headaches. 135 ops is a major pain in arrse. I did it way back and they had me calling limos, catering, customs, u name it! Total mess. And no fun. 135 crews want nothing to do with you unless their food sucks or the crew car is late. When u even try to discuss wx or route they just say Buh-bye and hang up. But hey, ,it's great!
They're in NY out on Long Island. I ended up turning down the interview. With glassdoor and also with my dispatch instructor confirming their reputation, I think it may have been the right choice for now.Oh NO Way are you gonna get 121 pay!
But it might be somewhat reasonable. Where is Talon based? FLA?
Oh, and one last nail in the proverbial coffin, they WILL blame U for every cockup. It's a losing battle, but it's a start.
I’m from Texas, not looking to go back anytime soonIt really seems like ever regional is hiring like crazy. With WN and AA and DL sucking up all the exper'd folks, there are a ton of openings.
I know at least 5 guys from Envoy offered mainline jobs this week. One good thing about Envoy is any new class will begin to use the new software, Flight Keys, and AA mainline will follow very soon. NO MORE SABRE suicides. So, how about Big'D? Cowboys fan?

They keep building the flyovers taller and taller. I remember in Austin a guy flew off one on a motorcycle, not pretty.Gotta give it to them, those freeways are huge. Have been there a few times, lots of concrete and traffic.
