so slightly related question, we had a Lindbergh the other day inform us that his fire alarm went off but that they weren’t declaring an emergency. Aroo? Tower roller trucks anyway. They were about 15 flying miles from the airport when they told us.
If you ever want to find out if a non-emergency is an emergency. Tell them they will be flying an extended downwind and will be number 15 for the approach. That should settle it. Someone's gonna say "But the United DC8 at PDX". That Capt shoulda listened to his F/E.so slightly related question, we had a Lindbergh the other day inform us that his fire alarm went off but that they weren’t declaring an emergency. Aroo? We had a FA set one off the other night during a redeye. She was using hairspray. That got the adrenaline flowing.Could’ve been the lav alarm, which if verified by a FA to not be legitimate, is likely not an emergency.
