Why I Left an Airline Pilot Career

What in the actual f are you people still arguing about?

There are people that leave pilot jobs for a well paying desk to fly.
There are people that leave a well paying desk for a pilot job.
They tend to think of each other as pathetic, amen (and awomen for those of you so specially gifted).

If a career changer pilot hung out at the property management forum (if there is such a gnarly place on the webs) convincing former colleagues to come over that would have been very weird.

So is what Todd is doing here. If you miss it in your life and come over to talk industry - sure, no problem, that's cool. If all you do is try to reaffirm your life choices by constantly striving to prove how much better off you are, you've got issues.

If you can find any post here of me trying to convince people to "come over" to the property management industry, I'll concede that you have a point. But as usual, you do not.

What's the point of the comparative phallometry then?

We agreed on one thing - whoever enters this industry should educate themselves first and have a realistic set of expectations. That's about it.

Admittedly, I have stuff to do, so digging through your post history for quotes isn't very high up on my to do list. Your energy would be better spent on that window winterization in common areas feasibility study too.

I think it was takehome pay but I can't get in the stupid study anymore. Probably my google fu is weak.

“Take home” and “whatcha getting back” are phrase are what the uneducated use but I have to admit they mean something.

You’re a complete joke. It amuses me. Keep it up.

I agree, it’s quite entertaining how he has been trained in super secret “open source” investigative techniques. It’s laughable.
As an aside, if you took your own advice, acquiring assets when you recommended, and then selling, you are probably set. But you’re probably getting hammered as prop manager now.

Lots of science behind this. Short version: there are two things to measure. One is "happiness," the other is "satisfaction with life." Once you hit somewhere around $75k, the happiness line levels off. But the satisfaction line keeps on climbing with increased income.

75k where? 75k in Nowhere, Montana will go a lot further than 75k in downtown San Fran or Manhattan.

No comparative phallometry happening here. You seem to be imagining things.

We’re actually still doing very well. Our delinquency rate is up slightly from pre-pandemic, but it’s negligible. I have friends in places like Kissimmee, right around the Disney parks where everyone is out of work, who are experiencing a very different world, though. We’ve been lucky in the markets where we are. We’re actually growing right now, albeit very slowly compared to years past.

Its an average. I would encourage you to read the science. Anything other than the Daily Mail for once.

Apparently when you say you’d bet your own life on your net worth vs someone else isn’t a measure of the wee-wee. Not to Todd at least.
Pretty ballsy statement knowing, well, not knowing those people.

No, not measuring anything. Just absolutely certain that you are complete joke.
