Oh United

Have you ever had an original thought in your life? Or have you always been a party apparatchik?
The Rusky's mettle in one election and all the sudden you're anti commie. I was anti commie when it was cool. You're a fake and your coming to the party late, hating Russia is sooooo Mitten Romney circa 2012.

On a layover in Ontario California I bought a first edition copy of the book for 5 bucks. It wasn’t first print so it’s not worth anything but it was very neat.

I hate to interrupt this epidemiological symposium with a tangent about out-of-work pilots, but the organizer of the GoFundMe posted a a quick update. It seems "only" ten or fewer of the March 3rd class were truly left high and dry with no safety net back at their old employers. Accordingly, the goal for the fundraiser was revised downward to $50k, which was met in just over 24 hours. Updates on distribution of funds and employment prospects for the class members at Big U are said to be forthcoming.

My time at the regionals predates most of the "no harm, no foul" return window deals in place now. Nice to see them as an option, but hate to see the necessity here.

Oddly enough, the non-union place (at least to my knowledge) still doesn't do that sort of arrangement; you return with accumulated longevity but are recycled to the bottom of the list. Unless that's changed.

Subrogating seniority, yaaaaaay.

Sorry. But that’s the truth. You take a risk when you put a 2 week notice and/or when you leave in a seniority system. You want back, it should be to the bottom of the list. The only reason it isn’t is because the regionals are desperate these days.

This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we will be lucky to live through it!
Didn't he become a politician in real life? I remember reading an article about actors playing politicians in movies/shows, becoming so popular that they actually ran for office and won.

They look at their high income as "what toys can I buy this month" when they should be living like their on RJ pay and investing that extra income so in 5-10 years they could quit their legacy left seat job if they wanted too and live off their investments. But no, they want bigger boats.

What exactly would I do in retirement without a big boat?
