NW DC9 from 89.

Theres a lot of subtle gems in here that are awesome. Things that wouldnt "fly" today but where apparently the norm from everything ive heard. FA sitting in the jumpseat filming, 100 feet prior to touchdown "you do want the gear down dont you boss?", etc etc

Only if they could update their charts by pressing "update"

Oh, there’s a couple people that transitioned from bitching about chart updates to bitching about having to press the “update” button and how there are so many, they’re forced to do them at home (???) and the company should pay for their broadband and time spent updating.

Interesting moment while they were in line waiting to take off. A NWA 727 sits on the runway for a long time with a takeoff clearance and DL has to go around. F/O says "Ah, that's too bad". Then they discuss why the 727 would sit so long and kind of allude the pilots have low morale. (think labor issues). If they only knew DL was going to buy them some years down the road...

You missed the part where they were "reading the checklist"

Could be worse. We still have people that can't even bother themselves to ever hit the update button at any point in time. Many people have been pulled off the line for something so basic...
