If you are just looking to get your certificate the most convenient for a foreign student is going to be Flamingo Air, they have an online program that requires only 6 days in the classroom at the end of the course. They always have a large contingent of foreign students.Paincorp, I’m going for the FAA Dispatch rating, I will get a Job easily in South East Asia or Middle East where I live atm. I’m really not keen on working at any of the regionals anyways
Jepp also has classes in Asia.At one time I believe Jeppesen had classes in Europe. It can't hurt to ask.
As per their Website they do have classes at Crawly UK! I’m going to send them an email, though my understanding is FOM 1 is not a requirement in USA but rest of the locations like KL, Shanghai, UK do require FOM 1 & then FOM 2.At one time I believe Jeppesen had classes in Europe. Plus their program is 6 weeks vs. the normal 5. I did Sheffield's 5 week program, and man, it was INTENSE! Six weeks will keep you busy, but I think it would be just enough extra time to make the program a bit more manageable. I chose Sheffield not only for reputation; I also chose it because my brother used to live in South FL, so I was already familiar with the area.I highly recommend Jeppesen in Denver. There are the most established and reputable school with most students having a job offer before they finish. I believe they also have a payment plan.
Sheffield in Florida has a program that is several months online, and then one very full week onsite. They strongly recommend prior aviation experience.Anybody heard of or been to "Aircraft Dispatcher Academy" before? Looks like a new 8-week program that is 6 weeks online and 2 weeks in class. Anybody been to a program where most if it is online before?
Online programs are doable. Some prior aviation experience would probably make it more manageable. The nice thing about them is it gives you much more time to go at your own speed and you don't have to take a boatload of vacation time from your current job. Yeah but this one is only 2 weeks longer then a normal 6 week program. And it's only a 2 year old program. So just want to make sure I wont be overwhelmed since the other schools I talk to said they dont recommend doing it online. But the way they explain it to me it a regular class just a virtual one every night for 4 hrs for the 6 weeks.Online programs are doable.
