Yeah it’s a nice little city. Biggest Edeka I’ve ever seen and a store to rival Home Depot which is odd to see in Europe.

I’d have been happy to have been stationed there so I get the appeal for people who were. @MikeD you missed out not getting a tour at the Spang.

I was a PACAF dude most of my career rather than a USAFE one. I can imagine there was a lot I missed out on

At least you went places. I was a NWFL airmen my whole time =( Better than a lot of places it could have been though.

Yeah having done both PACOM and EUCOM my first question for any of my soldiers that asks me about going to either is “are you married.” If yes, do Europe.

If No, either will do, but if you’re black... go to Europe. One of my former NCOs is having what appears to be from his Facebook the time of his life auditioning all of next years SI models. God bless Poland/Czech/Romania.

Yeap, I was assigned to sunny Grand Forks AFB. Never will forget walking across the ramp to a Commanders call, in January when the high temp doesn't get above -15 for two weeks straight...with 30 knot winds.. ugh.
