A Boeing 787-8 of All Nippon Airways operating ANA/NH985 from Tokyo/Haneda to Osaka/Itami stuck on runway 32L while landing at Itami due to sudden failure of both engines. The troubled runway was closed until the plane towed away at 08:41 LT. There were no reported injuries among nine crew and 109 passengers. The incident caused one cancellation, one diversion to Osaka/Kansai and nine delays of one hour and 44 minutes maximum for other scheduled flights. At the initial onsite investigation, there was no oil leak from the engines.

Both failing due to premature fatigue at the exact same time.......seems doubtful, though if I were that crew and that was actually what happened, I would go VFR direct to a casino and put everything on the table. Sounds like FOD or fuel exhaustion to me.
That American 767 that was written off after a mx run at LAX...

One engine exploded and sent a turbine wheel out the side of the case which then deflected off of the ground and took out the other engine.

What are the odds?!

If nothing else, that is a very thoroughly written article. Not only did it detail the event, but also the impact it had on the airport and other traffic. 100x better than the standard “Student pilot crashed airplane, no flight plan was filed.”

We are gonna find out that the FO shut the engines down and ANA covered it up. Both engines don't just suddenly fail at the same time, sowwwwwwwry.

First off... yes, both engines fail at the same time. British Airways lost a 777 that way not too long ago. USAirways lost a 320 as well.

Secondly... "sowwwwry"? Really? That's a pretty large amount of jackassery. I'm guessing that just about every ANA pilot speaks way better English than you speak Japanese.

Tell me more about how both the BA 777 and US Air 320 had engines seemingly shut down at the EXACT same time without any reason as to why... I'll wait.

BA 38 lost both engines due to heat exchanger issues and ice crystals. And are you really using US Air 1549 as an example of a dual engine loss?

Lets just ad the Gimli Glider to the list...

What does what language one speaks, have anything to do with anything?
