Time for a change (Go to Horizon)

Cessnaflyer

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Well, life has been pretty poopy now that my ex-wife and I couldn't make a second time work out and I think I need a change of pace with life and I miss flying the dirty dash!

I have an email out to the recruiters to see if my prior quit with no notice as a GSA for Horizon has cut my hopes early. If not though what should I expect for the interview process?

Sorry to hear what you're going through. If you have questions, there are a few of us on here that would be happy to answer questions. You can always shoot me a message too.

The interview when I went through it was very straightforward. Very relaxed. They asked you to plan a flight and if you were legal to go. Then a bunch of getting to know you questions.

How in-depth was the planning? Did you have to know certain opspecs?

I’m going to check out Checklist for success to prepare again.

No opspecs. All pt91 based stuff. How much fuel, and for mine an approach was put of service. Basic stuff like that. There was also questions about jepp charts. They wanted you to identify things.

Man I miss flying the Q. Almost as much as the Saab. Not gonna lie I’m jealous you’re still gonna do some real flying. Good luck in getting hired!

Are you still current?

Are you still current?
My logbook says I am. With the lack of any real recurrent in the part 91 side of flying I really need to study!

One question I was reading on the gouge was for weather minimums. I was thinking of only needing flight visibility to land. Forgot about flying with an MEL and high min pilots possibly raising the minimums for an approach.

Happiest memories of flying I have are of my time flying the mighty bro. Turboprops have a special place in my heart. Passing the oral on the e-120 was not easy. Someone told me Embraer ad Boeing 727 engineers design parts of the airplane because they were on furlough from Boeing.
