The only thing That excites me about the 787 is the clean cabin air. Beyond that, don’t talk to me until you do something with that yoke.
Just Airbii fanbois being who they are. They can’t help it.Why can't everyone get past the yoke? Every company has some sort of idiosyncrasy that uniquely identifies them. Embraer has the Ram horn yoke. Airbus has the joystick and tray table. Boeing insists on maintaining a yoke. Let's embrace corporate culture identities and just get over it already, and ourselves.
I hope. It's newer than the 330. Unless, of course, Boeing just plastic'd up a 767 to merely match performance numbers of the 330.
Depending on the discounts that Boeing will give to them. It will be interesting to see what happens. I am surprised there hasn't been an announcement by now.No, that's what Airbii did. No new wing, but new engines. Presto chango, a so-called new plane. What they do have over Boeing though is price point. It's cheaper than a brand new 78-9.

I never knew how uncomfortable I had been until the yoke and the pole that holds it up were no longer there.
Lack of a yoke is a stupendous improvement to my cockpit qi.
There would have to be an extraordinarily compelling reason to lose the foot space and go back to a plane with that contraption.
.
They invented a plane that can't fly redeyes? Is that a software lockout, somewhere in the EEPROM, or did they come up with a hardware solution?![]()
