Well, in a case like this, the pilot might have said, “At least I was on the centerline...”

No such luck. Although, they did stay dry. Bonus!

Seriously, though, sucks to be in that situation. I feel for those pilots. Time will tell what really happened. Just be glad this thread isn’t about an event like the H130 flying the Ditch or the An-148 in Russia.
