Spirit Contract Now

Huge gains in LTD and scope, PBS was a perceived give but honestly after going from line bidding to PBS I much prefer PBS so IMO that's a win as long as the language is decent.

It's such a big gain I'm worried the initial effect it will have on the stock price, it has finally started to recover!

On the plus side no risk of strike or further work slow downs which I honestly thought was coming. We'll see on Monday.
 
Dude, did you read that package? The pilot group should collectively get down on their knees and felate the MEC and NC for that deal. Better by far than I expected Spirit to end up with.


Not according to a lot of spirit guys on the other forum

Yeah I think your right. I was hoping for another 5% pay or so but it's not a bad deal. Not a industry standard like many people believed it would be but a lot of big gains as a whole. It'll pass
 
So first year pay is $55 when Endeavors is 50 plus a 10k bonus....

You must have very little knowledge of the 121 world because comparing first year pay is a very shortsighted approach. Hell look at places like UPS at $46 the first year, is Endeavor better than UPS? Even at these new proposed rates for Spirit a second year FO would make more than the top CA pay at many regionals and I imagine many of them don't have real LTD packages, DC 401k or many of the other protections for schedule integrity that Spirit has. Not trying to poke at you I'm just saying that comparing the two companies doesn't lead to much comparison.

Well my point of view is coming from someone that may not want to spend my whole career at Spirit.

I just hope for the careee spirit pilots they don’t sell themselves short. Pilots have all the leverage right now and in the foreseeable future.

Yeah I can understand that. It's a real gamble to wait for more though because of the amount of time it might take because the mediator already thinks what we were offered is more than fair. Waiting another year for a 10% raise might not be wise in the long run.

And I'm 99.9% sure you will see an announcement for a large aircraft order shortly after this passes.

I know people like to crap on Spirit, but since coming here my QOL has improved exponentially, The crews are awesome, the trips are great, with some really good hotels. It may just be the honeymoon phase but I have been extremely happy here and I plan on staying for a good while if not the rest of my career.
