ATL POWER OUTAGE

Non revved through ATL yesterday with the family. Made the smart choice to split up. We got out of town about 10am. The gods were smiling on us!

We've split many times when non-reving, and it has ALWAYS turned out to be the right thing to do. "Party of 4, Smith? Will you split?" "Hell yes, ma'am."

Don't forget some of these to go along with it:

Can IROP beer be negotiated into a union contract? Asking for a friend.

No one died... its just hilariously amazing how a small electrical fire can bring the worlds busiest airport to it's knees.

The interviews with pax, you would have thought how 6 hours with no power was some sort of Armageddon.

Some of the interviews with people who had no idea what to do or how to pass time now that their phones or laptops died out. It was the end of the world for some of these people.

Now knowing some of the vulnerabilities that have been advertised, and how people were stranded in one singular location en masse, probably gave some terrorists or mass killers some ideas.

So, will there be fines for those tarmac delays? Over 50 flights were over 3 hrs. Some over 6 hours. FAA gonna let this slide? Sent from my LG-H830 using Tapatalk

OMG people might ACTUALLY have to talk to each other since they can't bury themselves in their phones! This is crazy!!!!

You can learn a heck of a lot about a person (or several) in 6 hours!

I'm bringing at least 1 deck of cards from now on.

no. 1. out of airline's control 2. clock stops when flights request 'priority return' to gate.

I loathe working this time of the year because I always think I'm one mistake away from being on heavily edited YouTube video giving someone the boot off my aircraft for poor behavior.

"Sir I just wanted a drink of water"

"Five minutes ago you had my cabin crewmember in a stranglehold screaming like Conan, oh whatever, GTFO my airplane"

Day 1 leg 1... "hey my name is so and so, let's try not to make national news, everything else is standard."
