After a 4.5 month hiatus from flying jets (seniority is awesome) I had my first trip in the 2000 today. @scooter2525 was off and took his kids that weren't in school out to the airport to greet me. Getting to show them the new whip was a blast! Definitely a great first flight!

That's awesome, those pictures definitely need to go in the pictures from the road forum as well. It's great to see the JC community come together. :)

Both of those planes are gone. The Hawker is beer cans (and well earned, that particular airplane...don't get me started). We're "going in a different direction", with a full rebranding, a new paint scheme, and a generally newer, more reliable fleet. The paint scheme is pretty darned cool. I know at least one Lear and, heh, the 172 have the new paint scheme. There are pictures out there floating around, but I don't have them.

You don’t start off a newer, more reliable fleet by buying old clappped out NetJets Falcon 2000s lol. Somebody should tell management...

You didn't fly our old airplanes! FWIW, I'm cautiously optimistic. AFAICT, the primary problem with chartering Falcons is dealing with Dassault when they break. Our parent company happens to be sitting on a giant hangar full of parts. *shrug* I mean, I just work here, but, IMHO, you don't go from three airplanes to ~30 in three years by being stupid. Or, rather, if you do and you're stupid, you go out of business rather than buying a whole new fleet, however "clapped out". I could easily be wrong, you'll all be surprised to learn that it wouldn't be the first time, I'm sure. For me, at least, though, this has been and continues to be a pretty good place to work, and I don't have any major concerns that it will be drastically different any time soon. Maybe I'm just whistling past the graveyard, who knows.

As to telling management...Yo, @CK, Inverted thinks you make bad purchasing decisions.

I just know that NetJets is verrrrrrry hard on airplanes. Certainly awesome to be getting some larger cabin airplanes though.

You guys should buy G-IVs, or old Globals.

Oh, I think they're well aware. Our business model (as far as I understand it) is get em cheap, run em hard, and plan for them to break. Like I said, I just work here, but I think if they didn't know what they were doing, I'd be posting in the Jobs section right about now. Time will tell, as always.

G-IV is on the ticket, I think. G400 not too far behind. Rumors of a third on the way.

I agree that old Globals are a place we should be (and probably are) looking.
If you end up with old Globals make sure you have at least one skinny mechanic with no fear of confined spaces.
