According to the story - and lawsuit - 71-year-old passenger Ronald Tigner asked for a replacement boarding pass, and (now-former) employee Alejandro Anastasia responded with, "I'll kick your *** and pushed him. Tigner fell back, struck his head and was knocked unconscious. This is shown in the video, and NO employee offering medical attention to the unconscious Mr. Tigner.

The video is amazing - Tigner is out cold for almost a full minute while employees walk around him, until a passenger finally walks over to render aid.

Dont eff with UAL yall. UA customer service reps are by far the worst in the industry IMO. This story sure took awhile to surface.

Granted the story is two years old.
It looks like Houston is pulling an "Arizona Republic" by reporting all things rotten with the hometown airline (at the time, pre-merger America West).

Why didn't they drag the unconscious man out of the terminal by his legs and toss him into the parking lot? They're not following their SOPs. :)

This lead to the development of that SOP. Gotta clear the aisle.

I'm guessing the old guy probably laid a hand on him, which you can't see from that angle, and the guy pushed back.

I hate United as much as the next guy. Ok, maybe even a little bit more. But that guy looks pretty agitated prior to the shove and I'd give dollars to donuts he laid hands on the CSR. The lack of rendering aid, however...eh, that's pretty weird. I'm guessing they thought he was glamming it up. And they might even be right, but it's not going to do them any good in the lawsuit.

I really don't understand the United hate. Their regional product is garbage, but the only Delta has one that is better. Otherwise I've found the big three to be interchangeable.

It's funny you mention that because during indoc we switched from flying a United trip to flying a Delta trip. The only thing that changed for me was the airplane had a different paint job during the walk around.

Oh yeah and Delta had better snacks.
