Even if you do not meet the requirements it is worth applying. Worse case they say TBNT.

Mine too. I figure what the hell, maybe I'll get lucky

(of course that's my motto every night, not that it works out too well :bounce::bounce::cry::cry: )
Don't let the internals and haters talk you down, if you prove yourself worthy versus others you deserve the job. I'm confident the hiring managers will hire the most qualified, not the greatest ass kissers.

Good luck to all that apply. The job closes sometime on Friday the 28th. Last time it was open I believe I read on here that they closed it early in the day.

The two people they have doing the hiring are very fair and well respected industry wide. Some of you may have gotten your dispatch license from one of the guys. If you are qualified, will be an asset to the group and are not a bad personality then you stand a good chance of being hired. I think this is the start of a hiring flood so even if you dont get hired for the first few classes, you may get hired later on. The first two classes have hundreds of people internal and external that are applying and want the job. Many people with duplicate qualifications and recommendations. It wont be easy but rest assured the process will be fair.

How far back on employment history should I go back on the application did not indicate how many years you should include

I would say 10 years or if you've been in aviation longer than that, any job that has helped you become a better Dispatcher. (Unless you're young like me and 10 years ago you were in HS lol)

I think my 10 year HS reunion is coming up. There I will be able to tell everyone I work in the "tower."

I actually toured the SLC tower today. I was shocked that the air traffic controllers were controlling traffic rather than making flight plans for everybody.

Just heard the total number they were looking for is 22 total. 6-7 furloughs are coming back and maybe one manager is going back to the floor. So maybe 14-16 positions to be filled internal/external.
