Is that what he tries to use on the FAs?If they were OO airplanes, "Gully is not a Doctor."
Everywhere.
No.Is that what he tries to use on the FAs?
Oops, different gulley. I was picturing @DPApilot in a white coat "let's play doctor..."
[redacted] and [redacted] Sharpie [redacted]Wrong Gully.
The newer ones on the west coast are all [redacted]
That's depressing. If they did strike the top 1/3 of the seniority list would go to work.
That's being more than generous...I know of a handful of "objectors" to the union, but I can't fathom 200 pilot's going to work if we struck. Maybe 30, but no where close to the top 1/3.That's depressing.
We should start a betting pool. That's being more than generous...I know of a handful of "objectors" to the union, but I can't fathom 200 pilot's going to work if we struck. Maybe 30, but no where close to the top 1/3.
I had an FO tell me I was an "old Captain" recently...I doubt it will come to a strike, but I bet most of the captains would support it. The junior captains, like SurferLucas and myself, spent a long, LONG time in the right seat and empathize with the junior FO's trying to survive on first- or second-year pay. The senior captains may have gotten over that "junior FO" poverty feeling a few decades ago, but most of them detest management and would view a job action as a chance to voice their displeasure. It should also be noted that it takes a CREW to operate a flight. If the FO's are all out on strike, then the plane doesn't go anywhere.
I have more mixed feelings about it.
"Hey we uhhh, found a big bag of money!"Isn't it funny how a year ago they were going to go out of business if they couldn't fly for cheaper than Skywest, and now they suddenly have the money to pay more than Skywest? Baffling
Why is that?
Well, read between the lines. Look at what they're actually offering and consider why, and think about it long-term. No, it's not concessionary... but there's a whole lot built on discretionary bonuses, and it doesn't really address many of the root issues that their pilot group has... in my completely outside opinion.
