Greek Apache crash

Last time I went through (last month) there was a kid, who took 15, yes fifteen, times to get through.

When I was 16 year old, I had a summer job working on an oil platform. We had to do that training before being allowed to fly out to the rig. I thought it was a blast.

@Lawman ib the Afghan video, any news on the soldier that got hit? I saw this video quite a while back but always wondered about those involed. Thanks for the close-out!!

Not really sure. The only reason I'm so read on to the other side of it was the fact we followed them into country and our SP made sure we saw the fallout.

Probably a pretty good in brief......see what THEY did? Don't!!

Isn't there a video of a Blackhawk in the Bahamas hitting the beach...literally? Not the one with the wives. That one really sucked.

I saw some good photos and video of a crew that dunked a Blackhawk into Lake Tahoe. I think they learned something about density altitude and engine temp limits that day.

There's always this gem from a rescue attempt on Mt. Hood. No goofing off or anything like that, just thin air and mountain flying. iirc everyone lived.

Yep. They ran over the crew chief who was ejected.

Another fine example of drooping rotors and how dangerous that can become.
Theres a point where the engine doesn't give you any more power, no matter what you try. At that point, the rotors droop. Imagine going up hill in 5th gear.
