Can't we all just get along?

That was a year ago and my understanding it was due to an FO that had a reputation for being a jerk and a CA finally wouldn't stand for it and refused to fly with them. Not sure if they are still employed by XJT. Shame it had to inconvenience passengers. But, at least they were a little more civil about it.

My only question is, how do you know that this is actually what happened (which has since been refuted)? For an outsider looking to gain knowledge into aviation for the BF, this one specific article from last year and what actually happened are two really specific things. How could you possibly have a "my understanding of what happened...." in regards to this event at XJT?

In that case, you should stay silent. A lot of companies have those policies and they dictate no response. Not vague responses. You can't always set the record straight. By simply commenting, you are opening the same can of worms.

Not sure I agree with this. Say at my company an "event A" happened. Then you say oh from what I heard it was [insert story] which is a different thing (false) altogether and coined "event B." I may not be able to confirm what "event A" was but I'll definitely pipe in and say that "event B" is completely false and not anything close to what actually happened.

This is done to dispel false things (rumors, etc).

How do you hear about anything. People talk, those either involved in some way, or knowing of the parties involved, and refer to previous incidents. If that story circulating is in fact, false, maybe that will come out in the end report. I only know what people have said about the incident. How has setting the record straight helped me with regard to the constant fixation with me and my relationship? Let that part go.

Usually, the truth is "Version C" or even D, E, or F.

Because that was the basis you used to establish coming here, which is fine because all are welcome. But your track record and supposed background aren't matching. I've been here a tad bit longer, and I have no clue about this XJT incident let alone what actually happened or could have happened. I certainly wouldn't presume to make a supposed statement on the event without having knowledge about it.
