Just received my pre-offer for envoy and was wondering what should I start studying so I'm ready before I go into training?

Especially since a company like Envoy I've heard has a very rigorous and thorough training program. Only thing you'll really need on day one is a good attitude and the will to learn. Everything else will fall into place!
The problem is that Envoy is currently back to flying three different aircraft types, so studying limitations without knowing what aircraft you will be assigned to is asking for trouble.Having the limitations down on day 1 will give you a good start. But that being said, they will teach you everything you need to know. It is up to you to study it and be able to regurgitate it. Get ready to drink from the proverbial firehose.

Recently some classes have been told in advance that they would be on the 175, they used to wait until day 1 of indoc and the class would pick aircraft and/or base available by class seniority.Do new hires not know what airframe they will be on before they get to class? Or is that not how it works? I'm ignorant I guess. My airline only flies the CRJ.
Traditionally, no. They are posted and picked in seniority order based on age at Envoy during day 1.Do new hires not know what airframe they will be on before they get to class? Or is that not how it works? I'm ignorant I guess. My airline only flies the CRJ.
The only reason they are doing this now, when they can, is so people actually show up to class.Recently some classes have been told in advance that they would be on the 175, they used to wait until day 1 of indoc and the class would pick aircraft and/or base available by class seniority.

It's a buyers market out there.Yeah, I read that people were stating that if they don't get the 175, they weren't showing up for class. Also on another site, I read that when CFI's didn't get the 175, they resigned.

I may be a jerk for having my wife do this, but I tell her not to tell me about things that may stress me out while I'm in training or on the road and either handle them herself or give me a list when I'm done. My goal is to learn or not kill myself and others because I'm worried about a pipe bursting or the washing machine not working at home.Get your home life squared away. Fix the AC in your wife's car, replace the garbage disposal that is constantly clogging, ect.
They will give you the information you need when you need it. Having the home front secure will allow you to focus on learning the material you need.
