I've heard all manner of excuses. Doesn't really seem to matter what the reason is...long sleeves = long trip. Throw in a "I do everything standard" and, well, that traditionally makes for a day full of not-awesome.

Ha! Oh man, that "trick" was around when I was a new hire!
Long sleeves, boys and girls, is the universal warning sign.
Hmm, so far I haven't had any issues logging in. Guess I'm doing something right.

like one of the last captains i flew with? I already have a bid avoid in...didn't think it would happen that fast.I'm very protective. My scalp literally starts itching when I hear a story about someone being a mean person to probationary pilots who don't deserve that level of hubris

I can take care of that
BTW, nice beach photo.
was NYC73NB, I think @Seggy knows what that means.
I move bases in June, but still keeping it on there just for principle.
If I weren't a probationary pilot, I would have made a phone call.
73N As are strange creatures. Highest percentage of conspiracy nuts, preppers, and just plain "Do it my way" types that I've flown with.
This tends to be true in my industry as well.I've found that there is a "seniority banding" component involved. Like rings in a tree or strata in the ground, the characteristics seem to depend on which band you're passing through.

Almost everyone I fly with who is a recent upgrade is conservative, compliant, and cautious (which is preferable on most days to the "oh eff it" approach of the, erm, how you say, lifer contingent). They typically don't have a problem (with a handful of exceptions) of you speaking up.I've found that there is a "seniority banding" component involved.
