How many of you fellas are at ORD? anyone interested in a meet up some time
A few that I know of, I missed the last meetup a couple months ago. I'll have to see if I can make time in my busy schedule of sitting around with my phone next to me.How many of you fellas are at ORD? anyone interested in a meet up some time

Once @autothrust-blue pointed out my Simple Jack PBS error I'm able to get pretty sweet LCR lines. Not brave enough to commute on a 12 hour call out though.LCR man....LCR haha
I'm also game for meeting up
I wasn't either.... if they called me at midnight there were 2 flights I could grab that got me there but I was way too chicken to test that.Once @autothrust-blue pointed out my Simple Jack PBS error I'm able to get pretty sweet LCR lines. Not brave enough to commute on a 12 hour call out though.

Same. Although I live in base really. But an 8pm call for an 8am show would basically leave me with a 6 hour drive as the only option. No thanks.I wasn't either.... if they called me at midnight there were 2 flights I could grab that got me there but I was way too chicken to test that.

Heh, let's say not crossing some Ts and dotting some lowercase Js.Ahhh yah, the dreaded commute. I'm local and I dont think I will go back to RE1/2 unless I am forced to. What could you have done do not get a LC line? haha Line 7, all your reserve lines!
Problem is as a commuter I'm in the 9-9 RVS but I'd try to meet up. If we did it at the Armada room at the quality inn pilots get discounts and I would already be there. 8)JordanD said:A few that I know of, I missed the last meetup a couple months ago. The LAX-SFO commute on long call worked out well for me. There's only 60 flights a day though..I wasn't either.... if they called me at midnight there were 2 flights I could grab that got me there but I was way too chicken to test that.

When interviewing they asked if I had a "preference" I gave them my preference. They sent a job offer with the aircraft a few hours after the interview. So because I was hired into the aircraft I told them I had a "preference for" does that incur a 2 year 1 year seat lock???Might be reading your post incorrectly, but it's a 2yr seat lock in equipment if you choose your type as a new hire. If assigned it's a 1yr lock.
Transitions incur a 1yr lock, unless you want to go back to your previous equipment, in which case it's a 2yr lock. That doesn't apply to you if you've been bypassed due to "company operational needs".
I'm still waiting my ERJ class date for ORD. They're telling us bypasses it could happen in August.

Who do I talk to to get answers. So far recruitment couldn't give me an answer nor could the person they told me to contact. They told me to talk to my Chief Pilot which seems odd.
DTW will start as a -200 only base.
Uh oh...not good...
More red flags for SkyEast Airlines.

Why is that?
SkyEast leadership, excuse me management, remains silent on the future - at least nothing more beyond saying "nothing is changing."
I've heard it before and seen it before.
That said, the best source of authorized information appears to be only from SkyEast's recruiting department and social media channels.
In short - it means more of "not sure where this train track ends."
How do you get long call over the shorter call out times? Does it go more senior reserve? The LAX-SFO commute on long call worked out well for me. There's only 60 flights a day though..![]()
It helps when you actually INCLUDE the line you want in your bid...Once @autothrust-blue pointed out my Simple Jack PBS error I'm able to get pretty sweet LCR lines. Not brave enough to commute on a 12 hour call out though.
Correct. I feel like this fact is not adequately publicized. If you got preference it's a 2 year seat lock as far as I know.
