Asking for the jumpseat and other lost traditions

Funny. I'm still fairly new to my company but the pilots rarely stay with the F/A's on more than one flight nor do we overnight at the same hotel except on rare occasion but I haven't heard any complaints yet. We typically check on hotels before a layover to make sure we don't grab the last van and leave the other but other than that I have yet to hear any complaints from any of the F/A's about it. Could be just a company cultural thing. If you need to bail to make a commute or whatever the F/A's usually just wish you luck.

Gggeeeeeeee difference from what you wrote about tail swapping and abandoning your crew after go-home leg.
What about the hotel leg? Do you wait for all the passengers to deplane, even when the CA is upstairs waiting?

I love ya bud (no homo), but I think you are making this into a bigger deal than it really is.

@CFIscare you're totally homo for me...

I think the brain trust here is taking my advocation for courtesy as definitive, subservient attitude towards our cabin crew.
Shoot, to many syllables for a low tiered pilot... ;)

This. Being in a hurry generally leads to bad things. Being in a real hurry leads to real bad things.

Besides, running through the terminal to catch a flight makes you look like a dork.

I don't run. Ever. If I can't make it with a smart step, it ain't meant to be.
