AA Tentative Agreement

True. The profit sharing is a Dougie issue that we all need to overcome. The TWU gave it up for the LAA side of the house and really screwed us all. Hopefully it was fixed.

Besides that, if we are not on par with our counterparts at DL, the contract will be voted down. I have some faith they brought back a deal we could vote in.

I wonder if the DL +3% rumor I heard was true. That'd be a pretty sweet deal if true with how terribad the last contract was.

Hopefully this means that some hiring is on the way.

Well the last contract was out of bankruptcy.

Thats what the union says was agreed to. We will find out next week all the details.

I think highly likely if ratified given the schedule agreed to is 4-3-4-4, 200 days per year.

Only thing is timing. A lot needs to get hammered out in terms of how new hires will be trained going forward and what the workload will be going forward. If management is leaning more towards the L-AA long extended OJT then I think hiring may start not long after JCBA is ratified. If they want to go with the L-US shorter OJT then I think they will likely wait until late summer or fall.

Doug Parker has announced company wide profit sharing for 2016 earnings with a payout in 2017.
Not bound contractually at all. They can stop or change it at anytime. He was pretty much forced to do this with all the bad PR the pilot group has been shining on labor relations.

Well it seems TWU says it is in writing.... so maybe not so easy to slip out of....
Its a big 180 for Dougie. I wonder what happened? ( other than the letter from the pilots)
This has nothing to do with AA dispatchers agreement. This is for the regionals. L-AA already has some progams in place.

" the American Airlines Group (AAG) is establishing a new profit sharing program that extends to the company’s wholly owned regional carriers. AAG will put 5 percent of every pre-tax dollar earned each year into a profit sharing pool to be shared by all team members (excluding management levels five and above). The program is effective with 2016 earnings and will pay out to employees in early 2017 based on what the company earns in 2016. "

Of course it's in writing, there was a press release. It means nothing unless bound by a CBA. They could use any "extenuating" circumstance to taketh away.
