If I remember right, some management were flying planes during the UPS strike in the 90s, and nothing was seemingly thought of it. But I don't remember the details from my position as a freight dog back then.
 
@jskibo and @PhilosopherPilot ... Guys like @BobDDuck would have a better idea but I don't think scab applies to your management role if you are not on the seniority list. VP FlOps is a seniority list position sometimes called a "phantom" for bidding purposes. So in that case the management pilot flying struck work has crossed the picket line and become a scab. You not being a union seniority list member have not crossed a picket line by doing the work.

This is true. I'm not particularly a fan of it, but a management employee doesn't have any protection in that case so they would be terminated and have no chance at getting their job back if they walked with the line employees. In the case of the spirit strike the CPs resigned their managenent positions and walked as protected line pilots.

Good to know. Many management guys here have seniority numbers.
