Another Allegiant Pilot about to be Fired!

Well as someone who flies older aircraft for a living now, MX issues are more prevalent just because of the age. Buy newer stuff, not as many issues.
The airbus side of Allegiant seems to be much more efficient with regards to MX delays. When you get the oldest things in the sky, even the best MX is still gonna have things go on you.

What are you flying nowadays? Gave up the fancy bizjet in lieu of something older, dirtier, and permanently smells of scorched JetA?

Yes, old jets have problems. Old jets that sit are not flown a lot tend have more issues pop up from time to time.

I have thousands of hours an antique airliners older than the DC-9-80 series and have never (knock on wood) experienced the type of problems some allegiant crews have experienced. With the planes flying as much as Allegiant flies they should have less problems, not repeated serious problems.

Well the airplanes are not quite as old as I am, but close!

I went from flying 2009/10 stuff to 1988/89 stuff haha.

Raise you to 1967
