Hey, I got one, too! So, I guess if this United thing doesn't pan out, I'll still be set!
How does a guy get this $50 Amazon card...
I'm not paying for airlineaaps subsciption. F that.
Not to thread hijack, but I'd look into CommutAir. While we're not actively advertising DECs, it's going to happen-- at a higher pay and QoL than TSA and preferential interview at United. And you'll actually be a left seat flying captain, not a right-seater.
Pilots have been getting the card in the mail lately, and if you take the card to an interview, you get a $50 card to Amazon.
I got 2 of them yesterday.
I don't know too much about TSA operations. I do find it funny that you can identify TSA 145s by their yellow wingtips - I guess they've had problems taxiing into stuff? The one month I saw regional performance numbers for AA, they were towards the bottom.
I understand that the 145s are "on loan" for one heavy check, then AAG will reevaluate those contracts.
Interesting. How does TSA run W&B? I assume you run a form of EWBS that doesn't play well with universal?Another way is our apu cowlings aren't painted, they are bare metal. And no we don't run into stuff, we just slide off runways. Our numbers are so low because we can't run w&b off the eagle crappy universals. We are in the process of upgrading the universals to handle w&b. Contracts are for 4 or 5 years with AA.
That's funny, real Eagle pilots never had any problems making their digital weight and balance work...Another way is our apu cowlings aren't painted, they are bare metal. we do W/B over the phone with universal and that is the problem. That's funny, real Eagle pilots never had any problems making their digital weight and balance work...

I suppose I learned the "one heavy check" info from the rumor mill around here. I didn't realize it was for that long. Has TSA management fed you guys more info one those contracts?

From what I heard eagle won't let us use their software to run the w&b.
That doesn't make any damn sense. The people who you are flying the planes for owns both the aircraft and Eagle...
Yeah, right.Tell your guys to lend us a loving handwe were told that eagle wouldn't allow us to use their w&b software. Hence the upgraded universal.
