Travel Management Company

Are they still hiring as of summer - fall 2015? I am a Learjet FO at Kalitta Charters with 1400 TT, but TMC is much nearer to my home, and to boot they compensate their FOs much better than Kalitta. I reckon that I will apply, why not....

Much better compensation for FOs? Jesus...

FO pay at Kalitta isn't much better than what you see as second year pay at most regionals...it is actually lower than first year compensation at the regionals nowadays with $10000 sign-on bonuses being offered. So, 50 grand per year seems like stellar pay to me...although I am curious to find out how much you believe FOs should be paid.

It isn't about what I believe they should be paid, it is about what professional organizations have statistically gathered to show you what you DESERVE to be paid. 50k as an FO on a private jet is marginal at best, but when you combine the rolling rest schedule, 2 weeks of work at a time, training on days off, 2 sick days a year, and poor medical benefits, ummm ya it is another crappy outfit just like the Kalitta Lear/Falcon side.

That it is, but the bills won't be paid flying Lears for a meager 31k.... It's a definite step up in terms of pay, and closer to home. If that is all that I can acquire at the present moment, so be it until something better comes along.

It is likely better there than kalitta. Upgrade there, at your current times, would be about three years or better. I hear that everyone there has received a small raise and there is a 8/6 schedule option. I'm not sure if union negotiations have started there yet. Things will surely further improve.
